kim peralta, drummer, is founder of the  Jazzwomen and Blue Hearts Jazz  groups. kim trained  in cuba from 2018 - 2021 with congero/drummer Alejandro Aguiar Rodriguez. In 2021  she joined SUNY Jazz Ensemble under music director professor chris Parker,   She left the ensemble in 2024 to study privately under drummer/composer/arranger/bandleader Art Lillard and start her own projects. She now plays with various jazz combos in the tri-state area and beyond.
